Adult Supervision Always

Safe Distance

Keep children at least 25-30 feet away from fireworks display area during lighting and firing.

No Sparklers for Very Young

Children under 8 should not handle even sparklers, as they burn at 1200°C and can cause severe burns.

Teach Safety Rules

Educate children about fireworks safety rules and the importance of not picking up used fireworks.

Protective Clothing

Ensure children wear cotton clothes (not synthetic) and closed shoes during fireworks displays.

Burns Treatment

Immediate steps: Cool the burn with cold water for 10-20 minutes. Do NOT use ice, butter, or oil. Cover with clean cloth and seek medical attention for severe burns.

Eye Injuries

If debris gets in eyes, do NOT rub. Flush gently with clean water for 15 minutes and seek immediate medical attention.

Fire Emergency

If clothing catches fire: STOP, DROP, and ROLL. Smother flames with a blanket if available. Call emergency services immediately.

Misfired Fireworks

If a firework doesn't fire, wait 20 minutes before approaching. Never try to relight. Soak in water and dispose safely.
